Unless you have experience of hiring cranes and planning lifts, we would strongly recommend you take advantage of the contract lift service provided by Horizon Reinforcing & Crane Hire Co Ltd. Based in Falkirk, we operate throughout central Scotland and beyond.

Our contract lift service protects you if you are unaware of the responsibilities, duties and risks that planning a lift entails. When you choose to use a contract lift service, the plant machinery and all personnel supplied with it are the responsibility of the crane owner, rather than you.

WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
When providing a contract lift service, we are responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment when caused solely by negligence in carrying out the lift.
Wem also take responsibility for loss or damage to third party property in the same circumstances, subject to:
- A maximum of £10,000 for the goods being lifted
- A maximum of £2m in respect of loss or damage to property, or the death/injury of any third party
WE WILL SUPPLY:
- The required Appointed Person
- Competent slingers
- A method statement or lifting plan
- A thorough risk assessment
PLEASE NOTE:
It is important to be aware that we assume the responsibilities listed above only when performing a contract lift, rather than providing crane hire. This is only the case when the contract includes supply of the Appointed Person as well as the lifting equipment. It is also important to be aware that you remain responsible for providing adequate and accurate information relating to the lift. You must also have public liability insurance in place.
